A major milestone for SeeKaquA: the first ground-based audio-magnetotelluric profile has been successfully sampled in Zambia’s Machile-Zambezi Basin. At the same time, the team has achieved major progress in developing a novel receiver system and SeeKaquA partners are meeting in Hannover for a hands-on workshop to deepen expertise in semi-airborne electromagnetic methods, strengthen operational independence in Southern Africa, and finalise the plan for the upcoming fieldwork.

WaMiSAR continues to advance sustainable water management in mining regions through extensive field campaigns in Namibia. Recent activities included the installation of environmental monitoring systems, soil and water sampling across key sites, and the development of hydrological models to support risk assessment and site management under arid conditions.
